Birdland : One San Diego Evolving Neighborhood

Birdland is a neighborhood in the eastern portion of San Diego near Mission Valley. Most sections of Birdland is also classified in many government documents as El Dorado.

Why is this neighborhood named Birdland, you ask? One unique fact is that all of the streets are named after different species of birds. Commuters in the area have easy access to all eight freeways as well as one-sixty-three and eight-zero-five. Public transportation is easily accessible as well as access to many of the hospitals in the area. Many people enjoy the short distance to the downtown San Diego area as well as the beaches, many upscale restaurants and shopping centers.

Birdland homes offer the home owners unique opportunities to see San Diego in a way many other people are not able to see in other parts of San Diego. The area provides a wide variety of trails, safe biking routes, hiking areas, scenery for runners to enjoy and unique cultural Birdland restuartants.
