Mission Valley San Diego Mixes Old and New

Mission Valley in San Diego is divided into two areas by the river that flows through it. Mission Valley East and Mission Valley West provide a mixture of historic areas with new state-of-the-art shopping malls and sports arenas. Mission Valley was the site of the first Spanish settlement in California in 1769 and you can still visit the Mission San Diego de Alcala today as many tourist do annually. Mission Valley schools also include a high concentration of vocational schools that cater to many fields of study and trades. Educational choices are available for just about every type of student and many different interests. This area mixes historic sites with new shopping centers and has something for every member of your family.
